Function: Apartment Complex Public Areas
The core idea was to reinterpret the honeycomb motif by using the Voronoi pattern instead of conventional hexagons. This concept was realized in the floor design, the angular lines of wooden and glass panels, and the building's navigation graphics. Wooden slats, gracefully curving along the walls and ceilings, create a warm and enveloping atmosphere. These elements were mounted on an acoustic backing with natural finishes, adding coziness and improving the space's acoustics. Panels of yellow-tinted honey glass are placed in the double-height ceiling area of the lobby. Polished terrazzo flooring was used throughout, while «Tea» pendant lights, designed by Herzog & de Meuron for Regent lighting, became a key design accent, adding lightness and an airy quality to the space. One of the project's standout features is a media wall made of randomly combined led panels, enlivening the space with dynamic art and video projections. Some of the furniture elements were custom-designed, including the carpets and floor lamps. The public area also feature pieces from Classicon, designed by Konstantin Grcic.
